#Healing: An Update

Hello friends,

This is a brief update on my life over the past few months.

As some of you may know, I broke my ankle (in two spots and had to get surgery—several pins, two plates). I have been taking it slow and listening to my body more. Though I am sad this happened, I learned a great deal about #LawyerLife when you get sick or can’t work. Not shortly after, I let my current employer know that I also do not wish to extend my contract past June 7. I am in the process of setting up my own practice. It’s scary and exciting all at the same time! I will continue writing here and hope to continue with the series I started before this injury, Adding Value. You can view the first post here.

Here is a snapshot of stuff I have done over the last little while:

Some people might say that I should actually be taking it slow by resting but for me, creating things and doing things is part of my healing.
